In the face of the Covid-19 health crisis, the Puig factory in Vacarisses, which normally produces perfumes and cosmetic products, is manufacturing 20,000 units of hydroalcoholic gel daily.
The Puig multinational perfumery is not a manufacturer of this type of product, but wants to offer its production capacity for the protection of healthcare professionals. Through the Puig Foundation, half a million units of hydroalcoholic gel will be distributed in the coming weeks. After the Government contacted all the companies in the sector, Puig made its Vacarisses factory available, deciding that this production facility was the easiest to adapt to produce the gel.
Currently, 20,000 units of 500 ml are produced daily for the protection of healthcare personnel and professionals who are working on the front line in the fight against coronavirus. Puig has also made available its entire logistics network for distributing the product across the different hospitals designated by the health authorities. Currently, the company has already delivered more than 60,000 units of hydroalcoholic gel. Puig has also expressed its gratitude for the dedication and work of all the teams involved that have made this commitment possible in these difficult times.
