UIC

THE UNIVERSITY THAT CONNECTS WITH SOCIETY, WITH THE WORLD AND THAT PLACES PEOPLE AND EXCELLENCE AT THE CENTER OF THE EDUCATION PROCESS.

The International University of Catalonia (UIC) in Barcelona was founded in 1997 with the aim of offering quality university teaching and carrying out research at the service of society.

It offers academic rigor, a university life-style and enriching life experiences to train and educate students. It welcomes more than 7,000 students, offers 16 degrees, around thirty international double degrees and a wide range of master’s degrees, postgraduate degrees, and continuing education courses.

OBJECTIVES

The University encourages innovation in classrooms and guarantees quality teaching. The main objective is to provide students with a personalized service, classes in small groups, and a close relationship with the academic staff to get the most out of their abilities.

The UIC promotes a culture in which the students are responsible for their own learning, taking on a participatory and collaborative role and developing their autonomy.

Through the Puig Foundation Scholarship in Teaching Innovation, the UIC provides support to the academic staff at the University to undertake future innovative projects that ensure teaching excellence.
