Sport Cultura Barcelona is a non-profit association that functions as a hub for the most important cultural and sports institutions in the city of Barcelona. Created in 2004 by Juan Antonio Samaranch, it is the oldest and most well-established Catalan civil society organization in the field of sport.
OBJECTIVES
Sport Cultura Barcelona encourages dialogue and understanding between institutions, citizens, and relevant agents in the day-to-day, adding value to critical thinking on today’s challenges.
They work to achieve their mission through research, the promotion of cultural and sports initiatives, and the recognition of personalities who represent the values they believe in.
One of the most important activities is the Sport Cultura Barcelona Awards, an initiative that started in 2006 and aims to reward people or projects that have helped raise awareness and promote the country’s culture and sport.
