At the Puig Foundation, we are committed to developing and maintaining programmes of excellence that guarantee quality education that is constantly updated. Once again this year, together with 28 other companies and two Cáritas distinctions, we have supported the awarding of 47 scholarships promoting equal opportunities for undergraduate and master’s degree students. Our objective is clear: to support these students and their families, so that they can progress in their training and become future leaders.
The awards ceremony, held on 16 October at the IQS facilities, was attended by leading academics such as Salvador Borrós, director general of IQS, and Rosa Curt, director of the IQS Business Foundation. María Vallès, director of the Puig Foundation, spoke on behalf of the collaborating companies, to highlight the importance of investing in young talent. In addition, during the event, Pol Oriol, on behalf of the scholarship students, expressed his gratitude to the entities that make these scholarships possible.
Of the 47 scholarships, 30 went to undergraduate and simultaneous studies students, in recognition of their high academic performance and challenging economic circumstances. Among those awarded scholarships by the Puig Foundation were Clara Ferrer Segarra and Guillem Boigues Coll, who will continue their studies in areas such as Industrial Technologies Engineering and Business Administration and Management.
Moreover, 17 master’s degree students were awarded scholarships to specialise in fields such as Industrial Engineering, Bioengineering and International Marketing. These scholarships not only provide financial support, they also strengthen the connections between students and companies, generating opportunities for collaboration that boost professional progress.
Finally, Cáritas Diocesana de Barcelona awarded two honorary distinctions to the best final degree projects, highlighting projects with a profound social impact, aligned with our values of responsibility and community commitment.
