This year the number of projects taking part in the Makers social program has been reduced in order to better distribute resources to the projects and focus on those causes considered essential and given priority in 2022: women at risk of social exclusion, female empowerment, circular economy, and the body positivity movement are some of the issues tackled by the selected projects. In this edition, the projects will not only be accompanied by mentors, but the goal is also to set up partnerships and projects for joint creation with the Makers. In this way, the goals of the selected social projects are aligned with the purpose of Puig and its 2030 ESG agenda.
The winning projects in 2022 are: Unplastify (Argentina), Fundación Ared (Spain), Haut la Consigne (France), Senior Women Experts (France), Fundación Quiero Trabajo (Spain) and Bellamente (Argentina). All of them are initiatives that focus their social action on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) set by the United Nations: SDG 5 (Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls), SDG 10 (Reduce inequality within and among countries), SDG 12 (Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns) and SDG 13 (Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts).
